![]() I've asked my audio professor at school and he couldn't figure it out, and I've spent weeks pouring over the forums looking for a similar problem without any luck. It's the craziest and most frustrating thing. I've tried using different templates, moving the ignoreportfilter file, updating drivers, etc., but for some reason, anything new that I make has a high output latency after you open up a save, and only after it is closed and reopened, not while you are working on it originally. I haven't changed or added anything to my system and I have compared all the settings between older songs and newer ones and they are all the same. ![]() If I close the song and go up to devices, the latency is back to normal, or if I open an older song it's fine. ![]() It doesn't permanently change the output latency though. ![]() This makes it almost impossible to use my Axiom 49 controller to play my VSTs and add more to the track because of the delayed output. If I save the song and then reopen it to do some more work, it now suddenly changes only the output latency to around 120ms. As long as I have the session open for the first time, the latencies are fine. Suddenly, about a month ago, I started having an ouput latency problem on anything new I make, but only after it is saved! Let me explain, when I open any older track or start a new session, my input and output latencies are both at about 9ms which is fine for all my recording needs. I have been using Cubase SX2 for years now in my home studio setup and have recorded hundreds of tracks.
